History
CunaComm® was founded by
Joseph M. (Mike)
Hagerty, owner and president of the
company.
Mike served with the U.S. Army for over
9 years in Infantry, Operations &
Intelligence, and Logistics. He
returned to Texas
in 1979 after leaving the service
and obtained his BBA and MBA from the University of Houston.
Mike
worked for Texbrook Industries, Div.
Platt-Hardin Inc, a manufacturer of
telecom equipment from 1979 to 2003,
gaining valuable experience with a small
company operating in a tough, turbulent
business sector.
In October 2003, Mike organized Cuna
Communications, LLC. The company began
supplying a short list of specialized tools and
equipment to telecom service providers,
later adding many more data and telecom
lines for government customers.
Today,
CunaComm®
holds a GSA 70
Schedule contract and offers over 150,000 IT and telecom products.
Mike's daughter, Michelle Hagerty,
a graduate of Colorado College,
joined
CunaComm®
in 2006.
Michelle
competed in the 2008 Olympic Trials for a
spot on the USA Judo Team. She has since
retired from tournament competition, and now trains
and coaches aspiring young judo
players.
